The Social Hub started in 2012, as The Student Hotel, because we believed students deserved better. By offering them a home from home, we enabled them to go out and change the world.
Today, we connect not just students but everyone who wants to learn, stay, work, and play. Despite our best efforts and the fact that our world might be the most connected in history, we still live in an era defined by polarisation and inequality of opportunity. We recognise that this inequality is the barrier to many promising futures.
This has to change.
That’s why we have set up the TSH Talent Foundation, to contribute to a world where opportunity is not a privilege but a right shared by all, we offer changemakers scholarships and immersive learning experiences. At the TSH Talent Foundation, we believe that empathy and equity go hand in hand, enabling a new generation of changemakers to fulfil their full potential and create game-changing ideas that take on perspectives otherwise overlooked.
We believe that these ideas can contribute to tackling some of the world’s most pressing challenges and to strengthening global stability and eventually lead to - there, we said it - world peace.
Our foundation’s focus is on those who have faced the highest of barriers, and translated this into an unstoppable drive and potential to change the world. Providing them with empathy as their compass and equity as their map, we help illuminate routes once shadowed by circumstance.
After finishing their programmes, our talents become alumni, playing a key role within our foundation’s culture. Alumni pay it forward, onboarding and guiding the next cohort.
We believe that experiencing these perspectives will shape our talent in ways they - and we - cannot yet imagine. Ultimately, every one of The Social Hub’s rooms will resonate with echoes of dreams. Every corridor will buzz with ideas and the promise of a better tomorrow.
This is why we are committed to allocate 1% of the global revenue of The Social Hub, to the TSH Talent Foundation, every year. We invite all like-minded foundations, institutions, companies and individuals to contribute to build our programme.
